Dear RC,

Is it possible to use the days 28-29-30-31 / 05 to make the matches?
Would you help the skippers to organize themselves for the meetings.

ZK vs Alare - Match ID 1086
#38
Not too shy to talk
Not too shy to talk

Alare bears away and gybes... ZK is also bearing away...
The moment Alare start gybing, ZK is not under rrs15 as she acquired ROW because of the other boat actions.
While Alare is gybing ... and as ZK is still bearing away, ZK must give room to Alare to keep clear of her, which she does.
When Alare completes the gybe on starboard, as the ROW boat, she must initially give ZK room to keep clear of her, under rrs15, which Alare does.

Decision : Green flag > Protest DISMISSED.

ZK vs Alare - Match ID 1088

Not too shy to talk

On a downwind course, ZK on starboard tack and Alare on port tack, close to each other, are sensibly sailing a parallel path, with multiple changes of tack from both boats.

Alare fails to keep clear of ZK under rrs 10.

Decision : Alare DSQ for breaking rrs 10.

Note : Furthermore, by luffing while on port tack, Alare creates contact with ZK's bow, which slows down ZK.

PC considers the infringement of rrs10 was deliberate and calling for a double pen (PX) would have been appropriate.
